Snøhetta completes Sky House at Hong Kong’s Pavilia Farm
Snøhetta has completed Sky House, the fourth and final clubhouse at the Pavilia Farm development in Tai Wai, Hong Kong. Commissioned by New World Development, the project aims to create an urban community centered on nature, wellbeing, and collective ownership within a densely populated city.
The Pavilia Farm development spans 6.5 acres and utilizes a distributed model of four distinct clubhouses—Tea House, Well House, Farm House, and Sky House—rather than a single monolithic structure. This design approach is intended to foster social connection and intergenerational interaction.
Sky House features a 12,150-square-foot layout organized around the concepts of ‘cave and sky.’ The lower level is designed for open-ended play, featuring a double-height rope-climbing tower beneath a domed skylight. The upper level is dedicated to fitness and lounge areas oriented toward senior residents, placing different age groups in proximity to encourage social exchange.
