SNIT to develop lease-to-own housing project in Fouchana

The Tunisian government has commissioned the Tunisian National Real Estate Company (SNIT) to develop a residential project in the Fouchana region of the Ben Arous governorate. According to an order issued by Head of Government Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzri and published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic, the project will be executed through a turnkey public contract.

The development is part of a lease-to-own program designed to facilitate access to decent housing for low- and middle-income households. Under this mechanism, beneficiaries pay monthly rent for a set period, which eventually leads to the transfer of property ownership. This initiative aligns with the 2026-2030 development plan and the 2026 finance bill, which emphasize equitable housing policies and the strengthening of programs like the Housing Promotion Fund for Employees (FOPROLOS).
