SNK reissues Metal Slug SV-001 model kit for 30th anniversary

SNK is marking the 30th anniversary of the Metal Slug franchise by re‑releasing the SV‑001/I plastic model kit, the iconic tank from the series. The kit, first launched in 2015 and reissued in 2017, will be produced in the original khaki colour and features a snap‑fit assembly that requires no glue. It includes a sheet of stickers for markings and is scaled 1/24, measuring about 12 cm in length.

The commemorative edition will be sold in Japan starting December 2026 at a suggested price of ¥5,280, inclusive of tax. Pre‑orders are now open through hobby retailers such as HLJ and Nin‑Nin‑Game, and further details are available on the official Wave Corporation website. The release is part of a broader set of anniversary initiatives that SNK plans, including additional merchandise and new projects related to the Metal Slug series.
