Snoop Dogg biopic titled ‘Snoop’ set for 2027 release

A biopic titled ‘Snoop’ is set to be released by Universal Pictures on August 6, 2027. Directed by Craig Brewer and produced by Brian Grazer alongside Snoop Dogg, the film will trace the rapper’s rise through the West Coast hip-hop scene.

Recent casting announcements for the project include Jonathan Daviss in the lead role of Snoop Dogg, Myles Bullock as Dr. Dre, and Lauren London as Beverly Tate. Other cast members include Algee Smith as Warren G, Tre Hale as Suge Knight, Laya DeLeon Hayes as Shante Broadus, and Camron Jones as 2Pac.

The film arrives as Snoop Dogg continues to solidify his status as a pop culture icon, a journey that began with his early career in the 213 Collective and his critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Doggystyle’.
