SimiFest 2026 and Bogotá cultural festivals announced
Several major cultural and musical events are scheduled for August and December 2026. In Mexico, the SimiFest 2026 is set for December 5 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The festival lineup features international hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg, alongside Miguel, María Barracuda, and others. Ticket pre-sales for SimiFest began on August 18 via Ticketmaster.
Additionally, a strategic alliance between Spotify, the Mexican Ministry of Culture, Canal 22, and the Mexican Music Council has been formed to support the 'México Canta' competition. This initiative aims to promote young musical talent and regional Mexican music narratives.
In Colombia, the Vallenato al Parque 2026 festival will take place in Bogotá at Parque Simón Bolívar on August 22 and 23. The event features over 150 musicians and serves as a solidarity center to collect aid for earthquake victims. Meanwhile, the 13th International Human Rights Film Festival (FICDEH) is being hosted across BibloRed public libraries in Bogotá from August 12 to 19, offering free access to diverse audiovisual works.
