Snoopy 75th Anniversary Edo Kiriko glassware announced
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip, which first debuted in 1950, a special collection of Edo Kiriko glassware has been announced. The collection, titled ‘Snoopy Shiawase Kirameku Edo Kiriko Glass,’ features designs inspired by the character Snoopy and his appearances throughout the decades.
Two distinct styles are available: the ‘Nonbiri Kohaku-iro’ (Relaxed Amber), which features Snoopy’s original appearance from the 1950 debut, and the ‘Yorokobi Wakakusa-iro’ (Joyful Grass Green), which showcases various eras of Snoopy and includes diamond-inspired cuts to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee. Each glass is handcrafted by skilled artisans from workshops affiliated with the Edo Kiriko Cooperative using traditional sandblasting and cutting techniques.
The limited edition items are priced at 44,800 yen (49,280 yen including tax) each, with only 750 units available per design. Each glass will be engraved with the 75th-anniversary logo and an edition number, and will be delivered in a special paulownia wood box. Sales are scheduled to begin on September 30, 2026, with shipping starting in mid-November 2026.
