White Rock hosts TV filming and Snowbirds aerial performance
White Rock is hosting two major events on Wednesday, August 12, 2026: a television production and an aerial performance by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
Film crews for the fourth season of the Lark Productions series ‘Allegiance’ are shooting scenes near Johnston Road and Royal Avenue. The production, which airs on CBC, involves actors in police uniforms and is expected to cause temporary parking impacts on Johnston, Pacific, and Roper Avenues. Filming for the ten new episodes is scheduled to continue until mid-October.
Simultaneously, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds are scheduled to perform an aerial show starting at 5:30 p.m. The city has issued safety reminders for the event, including a strict prohibition on personal drone use and a closure of the White Rock pier at 2 p.m. Water users are advised to remain near the shoreline starting at 3 p.m. to ensure safety during the performance.
