Significant snowfall has covered mountain ridges in the Jeseníky, Krkonoše, and Šumava ranges. According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), the Praděd station recorded 15 cm of snow, while Luční bouda reported 12 cm and Sněžka reported 10 cm.
In several mountain villages, such as Kvilda, Modrava, and Filipova Huť in the Šumava region, a continuous snow cover of approximately 2 cm has formed on roads and terrain. Other locations, including Pec pod Sněžkou and Špindlerův Mlýn, experienced mixed rain and snow without significant accumulation.
Meteorologists expect light snow or mixed precipitation to continue in higher elevations through the first half of next week. Temperatures are expected to fluctuate, with nighttime freezing possible, though no major precipitation is anticipated after Thursday.
