Snowfall was recorded on Sunday afternoon in São José dos Ausentes, located in the Campos de Cima da Serra region. The precipitation occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the Pico and Cânion Monte Negro, at an altitude of 1,403 meters, which is the highest point in Rio Grande do Sul.
