Snowflake and Bleu partner to provide sovereign AI cloud in France

Snowflake has announced its intention to partner with Bleu to bring its AI Data Cloud to France’s regulated markets. The collaboration aims to provide a “sovereign-by-design” solution by combining Snowflake’s data and AI capabilities with Bleu’s “Cloud de Confiance” infrastructure.

Bleu’s infrastructure is designed to meet strict French sovereignty requirements, featuring data centers located in France that are operated by French entities and governed by French law. The platform is built to be auditable by the French national cybersecurity agency, ANSSI, and is targeting qualification under the SecNumCloud 3.2 framework, one of Europe’s most rigorous security standards.

This partnership addresses the evolving needs of French organizations as AI workloads increasingly interact with sensitive data. The goal is to allow users to access state-of-the-art AI capabilities without compromising digital sovereignty or regulatory compliance.
