Snowflake emphasizes data strategy for enterprise AI at Seoul event

At the Snowflake World Tour Seoul, Snowflake executives emphasized that a robust data strategy is the essential foundation for successful enterprise AI implementation. The company highlighted the concept of an ‘agentic enterprise,’ where AI agents can perform actual business tasks by connecting scattered corporate data across systems like ERP and CRM while maintaining strict security and access controls.

Snowflake Korea Country Manager Lee Yong-seok reported significant growth for the local branch, noting that revenue has increased approximately 18-fold and the customer base has grown more than 10-fold since its launch in 2021. He stated the goal is to move AI beyond the proof-of-concept stage into productive, high-performance workloads.

KB Financial Group shared its practical application of these technologies, revealing that it currently operates over 100 AI agents and plans to expand to approximately 300 this year. At KB Kookmin Bank, roughly 90% of employees utilize AI for various tasks, including asset management, risk management, and legal support.
