SNS accuses Studentska lista candidate of illegal academic appointment
The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) has launched accusations against the Studentska lista, targeting its candidates and academic credentials. During a press conference, SNS representatives alleged that Dejan Šoškić, a candidate for the Studentska lista and professor at the Faculty of Economics, was illegally appointed to his professorship.
In response, Dejan Pavlović, a professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, characterized the move as a smear campaign intended to discredit competent opponents. Pavlović countered by raising questions regarding the academic integrity of high-ranking SNS officials, specifically alleging that Finance Minister Siniša Mali plagiarized his doctorate and questioning the credentials of Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Šapić.
Sociologist Dalibor Petrović suggested that these accusations are a calculated attempt by the ruling regime to improve its standing amidst unfavorable political conditions.
