SNSD fined 18,500 KM by Bosnia and Herzegovina election commission
The Central Election Commission (CIK) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has fined the SNSD political party a total of 18,500 KM for various election law violations. The penalties include 12,000 KM for conducting a premature election campaign and misusing public resources during a public event organized by a state-owned enterprise for a regional road reconstruction project. During this event, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik delivered a speech, which the commission ruled as unauthorized campaigning.
An additional fine of 6,500 KM was imposed on the SNSD for using children for political purposes in a video showcasing a renovated playground in Banja Luka. The video featured statements from Igor Dodik and Darko Maričić alongside footage of children. The commission ordered the removal of the video.
Other political parties also faced penalties. The SDP was fined a total of 9,000 KM for premature campaigning related to posts by candidate Edin Gegić and the Goražde City Committee. Additionally, the Party for BiH (SBiH) and its member Mirnesa Šečić were fined 3,000 KM each for premature campaign activities.
