SNSD to propose labor law changes for pregnant women
Željka Cvijanović, Vice President of the SNSD, has announced plans to initiate legislative reforms aimed at protecting pregnant women employed on fixed-term contracts in Republika Srpska.
The proposed changes seek to grant women on temporary contracts the same rights as those with permanent employment. This includes the right to continue their employment throughout pregnancy and maternity leave, followed by a transition into permanent employment status. Cvijanović emphasized that the party intends to implement strict sanctions against those who violate these protections.
The SNSD stated that protecting families, women, and children remains a political priority and that these measures are part of a broader effort to improve the daily lives of the population through enhanced social and institutional support.
