Sănătatea Cluj presents squad in medical gowns

Sănătatea Cluj, a football team competing in Romania's Liga 3, has introduced its squad for the 2026/27 season through an unconventional promotional campaign. The players, known as ‘Virușii Verzi’ (the Green Viruses), swapped their standard football kits for medical surgical gowns for a photo shoot in the center of Cluj-Napoca.

The team posed in front of the Matthias Corvinus monument to align with their club name and motto, ‘Noi să fim sănătoși!’ (Let us be healthy!). The club stated the theme represents their goal to play with ‘surgical precision’ and reach the league play-offs.

Managed by Vasile Miriuță, the club has a history of being a notable competitor in the Romanian Cup despite playing in the third tier. The squad began the new season with a 5-0 victory against Transilvania Sport Academy.
