SNTE claims widespread presence in Tamaulipas education structure

Arnulfo Rodríguez Treviño, general secretary of SNTE Section 30, announced that the union has achieved widespread representation throughout the educational structure of Tamaulipas. The union's presence now extends from early childhood education to the National Pedagogical Universities (UPN).

Rodríguez Treviño noted a significant shift from previous years when the union lacked institutional representation within the state's educational departments. He denied allegations that these positions were filled through personal favors or quotas, asserting that the individuals appointed are qualified professionals.

The union leader highlighted that over one thousand appointments are currently being issued in Tamaulipas to address staffing shortages. He stated that the process of filling remaining vacancies will continue through September and October to ensure schools are prepared for the new academic cycle. Additionally, the union expressed ongoing opposition to the current Usicamm scheme, citing limitations on job opportunities for graduates.
