Snugly Weighted Stuffed Toy flagged for suffocation risk

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a warning regarding the Snugly Weighted Stuffed Toy due to a serious risk of suffocation for young children. The product, which features a barcode of 6941262828435, is a 1kg (2.2lb) toy weighted with glass beads designed to provide deep pressure therapy.

Although marketed as a therapy tool for adults, the OPSS noted that marketing images depict children using the toy. The weight of the item may restrict breathing or movement if placed in close contact with a child's face or body. Additionally, the product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011, as safety information and markings were not provided in English.

Consumers are advised to keep the affected product out of reach of children.
