São Bernardo do Campo residents demand water restoration from Sabesp

Residents of the Nova Petrópolis neighborhood in São Bernardo do Campo have been without water for three days following a main pipe burst on Avenida Wallace Simonsen. The rupture required the shutdown of the water supply for several streets, including Alameda Dona Tereza Cristina, Avenida Imperador Pedro II, and Princesa Francisca Carolina.

Local residents report receiving conflicting information from Sabesp regarding when service will be restored. Some community members have had to purchase water or rely on relatives and local gyms for basic hygiene. Critics have attributed the poor communication and service delays to the company’s recent privatization process.
