São Carlos hosts innovation festival and infrastructure projects

São Carlos is hosting several initiatives focused on technology, education, and infrastructure. The São Carlos Experience (SCX) 2026 festival is taking place from August 26 to 30, bringing together innovation, science, and entrepreneurship through workshops and lectures on topics such as artificial intelligence and sustainability.

In educational efforts, the ‘Na Pista Certa’ program by Fundación MAPFRE is being held at EMEB Arthur Natalino Deriggi from August 24 to 28. The initiative uses an interactive mini-city setup to teach children aged 5 to 11 about traffic safety, citizenship, and the environmental impacts of mobility.

Regarding urban infrastructure, expansion works on the Washington Luís Highway (SP-310) are progressing. This includes the implementation of a new marginal road connecting Avenida Getúlio Vargas to Rua Teotônio Vilela, a project designed to improve local mobility. The works also involve the construction of additional lanes, bike paths, and pedestrian walkways.
