São Gonçalo advances R$ 130 million infrastructure project

The city of São Gonçalo is undergoing significant infrastructure transformations through a partnership between the municipal government and the Rio de Janeiro State Government, via the State Secretariat of Cities. The project involves an investment of R$ 130 million to transform more than 36,000 meters of roads.

Work is being carried out in several neighborhoods, including Sacramento, Eliane, Iêda, Santa Izabel, and Jardim Alcântara. The interventions include the installation of drainage networks, paving, and sidewalks across more than 126 streets. These improvements aim to replace dirt roads that previously caused issues with mud and limited vehicle access, particularly for emergency services.

As of the latest reports, nearly 80% of the planned works have been completed.
