São Gonçalo Civil Defense conducts disaster prevention drills

The Civil Defense of São Gonçalo is conducting preventive and preparatory actions to mitigate disaster risks in the city. As part of the ‘Civil Defense in the Neighborhoods’ project, agents have been performing inspections in areas such as Amendoeira and Lagoinha to identify vulnerabilities, prevent collapses, and respond to citizen reports.

Additionally, a simulated evacuation drill is scheduled for Saturday in the Nova Grécia neighborhood. The exercise will use the city's alert and alarm system to familiarize residents with siren sounds and safe evacuation routes. The drill, centered at the Presidente João Belchior Marques Goulart Municipal School, will also include health services providing vaccinations and glucose testing, alongside social assistance support.
