São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo Formalizes Industrial Street Names, São Gonçalo Launches Online Master‑Plan Workshops

The municipality of São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo in Brazil passed Municipal Law No. 2.406/2026, officially naming the streets in its Industrial Districts I and II. The new designations are now part of public maps, cadastral records and official documents, improving address clarity for businesses, logistics firms, postal services and emergency responders. Signage has been installed to support the updated addressing system.

Separately, the city of São Gonçalo announced a series of virtual workshops to gather public input for the revision of its Participatory Master Plan. Held via Microsoft Teams on July 27 and 29, the sessions will focus on urban mobility and environmental issues, with additional themes such as infrastructure, housing, land use and economic development slated for later meetings. The city aims to use the contributions to update the municipal plan and guide future urban development.
