São Gonçalo Fest 2026 to host five days of free concerts

The São Gonçalo Fest 2026 will take place from September 17 to 21 at the Arena São Gonçalo in the Alcântara neighborhood. The five-day festival, organized with support from the São Gonçalo City Hall, features free performances across various musical genres including pagode, sertanejo, and religious music.

The event begins on Thursday with a Catholic mass and a presentation by the Colo de Deus Catholic Community. The weekend lineup includes Belo and Mumuzinho on Friday, Tiee and Manu Bahtidão on Saturday, and Ferrugem alongside the duo Matheus & Kauan on Sunday. The festival concludes on Monday with a performance by gospel singer Aline Barros.

Scheduled to coincide with the city's anniversary, the festival aims to stimulate the local economy, attract tourists from the metropolitan region, and generate temporary employment. Gates at the Arena São Gonçalo, located on Avenida Jornalista Roberto Marinho, are expected to open at 18:00 each day. The event is open to all ages, though minors must be accompanied by legal guardians.
