Regional communities host diverse cultural and sporting events

Various regional communities in Brazil and Portugal are hosting diverse cultural, sporting, and social events.

In Brazil, Porto Velho is celebrating its 112th anniversary with sports and tourism activities, including races and bike tours. Cruzeiro do Sul marked its 122nd anniversary with a 450-participant running event. In São Gonçalo, activities include dance showcases, samba performances, and a cycling tour through the MUVI urban mobility project, alongside revitalization works at Praia das Pedrinhas. Belém is hosting the 14th Circuito Norte em Dança, an international festival involving dancers from Brazil, Honduras, and Uruguay. Foz do Iguaçu held its 16th International Marathon, attracting over 5,000 participants from seven countries. Other local events include a dance and percussion performance in Belo Horizonte, a religious motorcycle gathering in Maringá, and a charity run in Fortaleza.

In Portugal, Nazaré is preparing for the “A Idade é um Número” meeting to honor the senior population, while another initiative in the Santos Mártires region organized an inclusive motorcycle ride for people with disabilities.
