São Gonçalo hosts free community fairs and art caravan drawing families

On a sunny Sunday, hundreds of residents gathered at Parque RJ Nosso Sonho in São Gonçalo for the Expo Feirando fair. Organized by TB Eventos with support from the municipal Economic Development Secretariat and the Fundação de Artes, Esporte e Lazer de São Gonçalo, the event featured local vendors selling food, clothing, handicrafts and sports items, as well as live music and a handbeach tournament. Entrepreneurs highlighted the fair as an opportunity to promote small businesses and connect with the community.

The following weekend, the same municipality’s Fundação de Artes, Esporte e Lazer continued its free Caravana de Arte e Lazer. The caravan visited Praia da Luz on July 18 and the Antonina neighborhood on July 19, offering inflatable toys, games, paint‑on‑skin workshops, character visits and complimentary snacks for children and families. Both initiatives aim to increase access to leisure, culture and local commerce for São Gonçalo’s residents.
