São Gonçalo launches tax reform lecture and free syphilis testing

The city of São Gonçalo is implementing several municipal initiatives focused on economic education and public health.

In partnership with Sebrae, the Municipal Secretariat of Economic Development is hosting a free lecture regarding tax reform. The session, titled ‘Tax Reform: what changes for MEI and Simples Nacional’, is designed to guide micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses through upcoming regulatory shifts. The event will take place on October 14 at the Espaço Mais Conhecimento in Partage Shopping.

Simultaneously, the Municipal Health Secretariat is utilizing the ‘Outubro Verde’ campaign to offer free, rapid testing for syphilis. The initiative aims to increase awareness and early diagnosis of the infection. Testing is available at most municipal health units, with results provided in approximately 20 minutes, and treatment is available at 14 specific locations.
