São Gonçalo revitalizes Praia das Pedrinhas waterfront

The revitalization of the Praia das Pedrinhas waterfront in São Gonçalo is nearing completion. The project, managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Integrated Management and Special Projects (Semgipe), aims to boost tourism and create new community spaces for social interaction.

Final works currently underway include landscaping, the installation of bicycle racks, and equipment to restrict vehicle access to the promenade. Improvements also feature new sidewalks, flooring, pergolas, LED public lighting, an outdoor gym for seniors, and bleachers. Infrastructure upgrades involved drainage systems, paving, sewage networks, and water supply installations.

While the official inauguration is imminent, local businesses such as bars and restaurants in the area remain operational.
