São João da Barra announces ExpoBarra 2026 schedule

Mayor Carla Caputi has announced the schedule for ExpoBarra 2026, an agricultural and livestock exhibition scheduled to take place from November 19 to 22 at the Manoel Rangel Pessanha Exhibition and Events Park in São João da Barra.

The event marks a return to the municipal calendar following the suspension of the 2025 edition, which the local government halted to prioritize essential investments such as the new Municipal Hospital. The 2026 edition will feature a new organizational format involving private sector sponsorships through public calls and a partnership with the Sanjoanense Rural Union.

Musical attractions include Jeninho and MC Peão on November 19, Naiara Azevedo on November 20, Mari Fernandez on November 21, and Léo Foguete on November 22. Admission will be granted upon the donation of 1 kg of non-perishable food.

In addition to musical performances, the program includes rodeos, horse riding, animal exhibitions, and various competitions such as ranch sorting and lassoing. A dairy contest featuring Girolando, Gir Leiteiro, and Nelore cattle will contribute to national rankings. The event aims to stimulate the local economy and tourism ahead of the summer season.
