São João Del Rey Health Unit in Curitiba closes for renovation

The São João Del Rey Health Unit in the Sítio Cercado neighborhood of Curitiba will close for approximately six months starting Tuesday, October 13, to undergo a complete renovation. The project, part of the PRO Curitiba Requalification and Works Program, involves an investment of R$ 989,800 provided by the State Health Secretariat (Sesa).

To maintain service continuity, the Municipal Health Secretariat has redistributed patient care among three other local units:

• Bairro Novo Health Unit: Handles general appointments, excluding dentistry, pregnant women, children, and gynecological complaints. • Parigot de Souza Health Unit: Serves as the reference point for all dental services. • Salvador Allende Health Unit: Responsible for pregnant women, children, and gynecological complaints.

The renovation aims to modernize the building and improve accessibility, including the installation of ramps, the construction of an accessible public restroom, and the creation of an adapted consultation room. Patients with scheduled appointments have been notified, and registered users can receive updates via the Saúde Já Curitiba application.
