Brazil police seize cocaine and other drugs, arrest traffickers across multiple states

Police operations in São Paulo state dismantled drug distribution points in Mongaguá and Itanhaém, arresting two suspects and seizing more than 2,000 portions of cocaine, 1.7 kg of pure cocaine, 64 crack stones and 11,500 empty pinos used for packaging.

In Bahia, federal agents intercepted a large cocaine shipment concealed in a soy cargo at the Port of Salvador; a separate federal court later sentenced six members of the same smuggling network to up to 20 years for exporting the drugs to Europe.

In Mato Grosso, a joint raid in Sorriso/Nova Olímpia captured two men and a woman linked to a criminal faction, confiscating over 6 kg of marijuana, pasta base and 2,938 cocaine pinos.

The Federal District and Goiás authorities continued Operation Katharmos, uncovering a scheme that diverted veterinary‑grade ketamine from clinics. Police seized 21 frascos of the anesthetic, enough to supply a large zoo for a year, and arrested a veterinarian and a pet‑shop employee.

Additional seizures included a man in Sumaré caught with 13 kg of drugs (11.7 kg marijuana, 1.7 kg cocaine) and two suspects in Capela arrested with roughly 2.8 kg of marijuana, 70 g cocaine and 25 g crack.
