São José do Cedro marks 68 years with sport and cultural festivities

On July 27, the municipality of São José do Cedro celebrated its 68th anniversary of political‑administrative emancipation. The day began with a rustic race that attracted more than 280 athletes, organized in partnership with local gyms. Throughout the day the Praça Antônio Foppa hosted musical performances, a local choir, regional artists, a food market and family‑oriented activities.

Mayor Fernando Will said the program was designed to bring families together and showcase the town’s cultural talent, while Vice‑Mayor Enio Carossi highlighted the contributions of municipal secretaries, sports academies and cultural groups in delivering the event.
