São José dos Campos to host Southeast Regional Paralympic Boccia Championship

São José dos Campos will host the 2026 Southeast Regional Paralympic Boccia Championship from October 13 to 18. The event, part of the National Paralympic Boccia Circuit, will take place at Vale Sul Shopping with free admission for the public.

Organized by the National Association of Sports for the Disabled (ANDE), the competition is designed for athletes with high degrees of motor impairment, including those with cerebral palsy and severe disabilities. The tournament features functional classes based on competitor characteristics, emphasizing precision and strategy.

This regional stage follows previous stops in Belém, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, Uberlândia, and Natal. It serves as a precursor to the Main and Intermediate Brazilian Paralympic Boccia Championships scheduled for December in São Paulo.
