São José dos Pinhais driver arrested after drunk driving collision

A driver was arrested for drunk driving in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná, after causing a head-on collision on Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred on Rua Doutor Muricy in the Colônia Muricy region near a roundabout.

According to the Paraná Military Police, the driver of a Renault Clio crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a Fiat Palio. Rescuers reported that the collision resulted in two victims: one person refused medical assistance, while another sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Hospital São José.

Police noted that the driver of the Clio showed visible signs of intoxication. Following the incident, authorities requested a breathalyzer test to confirm the driver's state.
