São Luís hosts 2nd Festival Sesc Partituras with free music workshops

The second edition of the Festival Sesc Partituras will take place in São Luís from August 24 to 27. The event focuses on promoting Brazilian concert music and features a variety of free activities, including concerts, masterclasses, orchestra practices, and educational workshops.

Registration for the musical workshops is open until August 19 via an online form. These sessions are free and intended for music students, with priority given to students from the Sesc Musicar project. The workshops will be held at the Espaço Sesc de Música in the city center.

The festival's opening concert on August 24 will feature the Quarteto Ibirapitanga at the Teatro Sesc Napoleão Ewerton. The quartet will also lead masterclasses in violin, viola, and cello. Other scheduled performances include the Quintet of the Orquestra Filarmônica do Maranhão and various student ensembles. Concerts will be held at the Teatro Sesc Napoleão Ewerton and the Igreja da Sé.
