Maricá hosts 11th International Literary Festival honoring Marilena Chauí

The 11th International Literary Festival of Maricá (FLIM) begins on October 30 and runs until November 8 at the Orla do Parque Nanci. The event, organized by the Maricá City Hall, features a free program encompassing literature, music, digital culture, and education.

This edition honors philosopher and writer Marilena Chauí, a senior professor at the University of São Paulo. The festival includes literary debates with authors such as Conceição Evaristo, Eduardo Spohr, and Gregorio Duvivier.

The musical program, part of the Língua ao Mar project, promotes cultural exchange between Brazil and Portuguese-speaking African nations. Scheduled musical performances include artists such as Marina Sena, Gloria Groove, Baco Exu do Blues, and Criolo.
