São Luís hosts II Festival Sesc Partituras music event

II Festival Sesc Partituras classical music festival São Luís Orquestra Filarmônica do Maranhão Quarteto Ibirapitanga

The II Festival Sesc Partituras has commenced in São Luís, offering a variety of free musical activities including concerts, workshops, and masterclasses through August 27.

The event opened with a didactic concert by the Quintet of the Maranhão Philharmonic Orchestra (OFMA) for Iema students, followed by an opening performance by the Quarteto Ibirapitanga at the Teatro Sesc Napoleão Ewerton.

Throughout the festival, participants can attend masterclasses in violin, viola, and cello, as well as Suzuki orchestra practices for children and youth. The program also features a Grand Symphonic Concert by the OFMA at the Igreja da Sé on Wednesday, and will conclude on Thursday with performances by the Festival Children's Orchestra and groups formed during the workshops.
