São Manuel jewelry store robbed of R$ 100,000 via wall breach
Criminals broke into a jewelry store in the center of São Manuel, in the interior of São Paulo, by drilling a hole through a wall. The theft, discovered on Monday morning, resulted in an estimated loss of approximately R$ 100,000 in jewelry and watches.
The perpetrators took advantage of a power outage that occurred on Saturday, which had disabled the establishment's alarm and monitoring systems over the weekend. In addition to the merchandise, the thieves stole the DVR equipment used for recording security camera footage, hindering the immediate recovery of internal images.
The Military Police were notified by an employee from a neighboring business. The Civil Police are currently investigating the case as a qualified theft, analyzing external camera footage from the region to identify the suspects.
