São Paulo arrests three public officials for alleged PCC infiltration

The São Paulo Public Prosecutor's Office and the Military Police carried out Operation Infiltrados, arresting three individuals suspected of collaborating with the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). The detainees include a former public‑prosecutor intern, a civil‑police investigator who led the drug‑investigation unit in Campinas, and a penal‑police officer from Cardoso.

Investigators say the trio used their positions to obtain confidential information from internal systems and to extort money from wealthy suspects, while also supporting a plot to assassinate Gaeco prosecutor Amauri Silveira Filho. Ten search and seizure warrants were executed in Campinas and Cardoso, and electronic devices and documents were seized.

Authorities aim to dismantle the network of public‑sector agents alleged to have leaked privileged data and provided protection to PCC members.
