José Henrique Martins Flores arrested for providing security to Transwolff
Lieutenant Colonel José Henrique Martins Flores has been arrested by the Military Justice of São Paulo on suspicion of leading a criminal organization that provided private security services to executives of the bus company Transwolff. Transwolff is currently under investigation for allegedly laundering money for the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) criminal faction.
According to the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MPSP), the group utilized military police training, weaponry, and structure to protect Transwolff directors and provide institutional shielding. The scheme reportedly involved other officers, including Captain Alexandre Paulino Vieira, and sargentos Alexandre Aleixo Romano Cezário and Nereu Aparecido Alves. During investigations, R$ 1.18 million in cash was seized at the residence of Sergeant Nereu.
In a separate investigation, civil police officer Marcos Vinícius de Souza Melo was detained under suspicion of participating in a bribery scheme involving the release of electronic goods. Investigators allege that a shipment of over 4,000 cell phones was released following a R$ 700,000 bribe. Melo had recently resigned from his position as deputy secretary of Urban Security in São Sebastião.
