São Paulo authorizes 5,000 new teaching positions

The State of São Paulo has authorized a new public competition to hire 5,000 teachers for elementary and high school levels. The positions are divided into 3,000 roles with 40-hour weekly schedules and 2,000 roles with 25-hour schedules. This follows a previous recruitment of 15,000 teachers in late 2023.

In Natal, the municipal government launched the Paulo Freire Award. This initiative aims to recognize students, educators, and municipal school units that demonstrate excellence in teaching practices. The program seeks to improve learning outcomes, promote equity, and combat school dropout rates. Registration for the award is scheduled for September 2026.

Additionally, the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) has opened applications for a full professor position at the Faculty of Dentistry in Araraquara, specifically within the Department of Morphology and Child Clinic.
