São Paulo celebrates Halloween with consumer safety guidance and museum events

In São Paulo, the upcoming Halloween celebrations on October 31 are marked by both cultural activities and consumer safety initiatives. The Catavento Museum is hosting a special edition of ‘A Night at the Museum,’ offering unprecedented nighttime access to all its sections, including Astronomy, Life, Engineering, and Society. The event features interactive experiences such as the DNA Elevator, submarine tours, and theatrical shows, alongside a themed candy hunt.

To ensure safety during the holiday, the Institute of Weights and Measures of the State of São Paulo (Ipem/SP) has issued guidance for consumers purchasing costumes and accessories. The agency advises checking textile labels for accurate material composition to prevent allergies and mandates that all children's toys must carry the Inmetro Conformity Identification Seal and age ratings to ensure they have been tested for safety.
