The São Paulo municipality continued its traffic‑safety push with two coordinated actions. On March 28, the municipal mobility office (Semob) and the state traffic department (Detran‑SP) held an educational blitz in Guarulhos’s Bosque Maia, distributing leaflets and displaying signage to warn motorists about the dangers of driving after consuming alcohol, reinforcing Brazil’s Lei Seca.

The following day, the city’s vehicle‑rotation (rodízio) scheme took effect, barring cars with license plates ending in 5 or 6 from circulating in the expanded central zone during peak hours (7 am‑10 am and 5 pm‑8 pm). Violations incur a R$130.16 fine and four points on the driver’s licence, aiming to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.
