São Paulo FC loans right-back Maik to FK Dukla Banská
São Paulo FC has finalized the loan of 21-year-old right-back Maik to FK Dukla Banská, a club in the Slovakian first division. The agreement is set to last until July 2027 and does not include an option for the Slovakian club to purchase the player permanently.
Under the terms of the deal, the player's salary will be split between the two clubs, with São Paulo reportedly covering 40% of his wages. São Paulo maintains 90% of the athlete's economic rights and holds a contract with him until May 2028.
The move follows a period where Maik had fallen out of the professional squad's plans. After being sidelined during Roger Machado's tenure due to performance concerns, he was briefly reintegrated under Dorival Júnior but was ultimately deemed unlikely to receive consistent playing time. The transfer provides the player with an opportunity to gain regular minutes in European competition.
