São Paulo government to deliver 92 vehicles to municipal social funds

The Government of São Paulo has launched the third phase of its 'Programa de Equipagem,' which aims to deliver 92 new utility vehicles to municipal social funds by December. Announced by Cristiane Freitas, the president of the Social Fund of São Paulo, the initiative is designed to strengthen the operational capacity of local social assistance programs.

The distribution follows a technical schedule based on population size, prioritizing smaller municipalities with lower population densities and limited operational structures. These cities often face greater logistical challenges in delivering essential services.

The new vehicles will facilitate the transport of critical items such as food baskets, blankets, and supplies for training projects. This expansion is intended to improve the reach of social services to rural areas and remote neighborhoods that are difficult to access via conventional transportation.
