São Paulo governor announces R$42 M hospital expansion and R$76.9 M urban upgrades

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas toured the Santa Casa hospital in Araraquara, inspecting a R$42 million expansion that will add about 70 new medical beds and 30 ICU beds, aiming to boost regional health services.

During the same Caravana 3D event, the São Paulo state government announced a R$76.9 million package for urban infrastructure in the state’s central region. The funding targets drainage, street lighting, pavement, park renovations and the construction of creches and health units across dozens of municipalities, including Araraquara, São Carlos and many surrounding towns.
