São Paulo Heritage Journey highlights West Zone history

The 2026 Heritage Journey (Jornada do Patrimônio), organized by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, highlighted historical sites and neighborhoods in São Paulo's West Zone.

Events included tours of the União Fraterna Beneficent Society headquarters, a building dating back to 1934 that showcases eclectic and baroque architecture and preserves Italian immigration history. In the Vila Leopoldina neighborhood, urbanist Matheus Bonini led walks and discussions focused on territorial belonging and local memories.

Other activities in the Lapa subprefecture area featured guided visits to the Memorial da América Latina and Allianz Parque, as well as explorations of local watercourses such as the Água Preta stream.
