São Paulo highways undergo construction and infrastructure repairs

Infrastructure projects in the state of São Paulo are causing significant traffic changes on major highways.

On the Washington Luís Highway (SP-310), construction of a third lane near Cedral will result in the partial closure of a U-turn device at kilometer 425-B on the southbound lane starting Saturday, October 10. Drivers heading toward Potirendaba must use the U-turn at kilometer 421. The project, managed by Ecovias Noroeste Paulista, aims to increase traffic capacity and improve regional safety.

On the Fernão Dias Highway, reconstruction of a pedestrian bridge in Vargem is underway following a fatal collapse in August. Work includes lifting pillars and launching a new beam, which will require temporary lane closures. During nighttime operations, traffic will be restricted to the right lane in both directions to facilitate the installation of the new structure.
