São Paulo hosts major sustainability events during Climate Week and EcoBairro 2026

On 5 August 2026 the Roca São Paulo Gallery held the conference “Architecture and Sustainable Construction as Vectors of Climate Adaptation” as part of São Paulo Climate Week 2026. Organized by Roca and Soul ESGS, the event gathered architects, researchers and industry leaders to discuss planetary boundaries, biomimicry, bio‑economy and water‑scarcity solutions for resilient built environments.

From 8 to 15 August, the permanent Ecobairro programme presented the “Semana EcoBairro” with the theme “Habitar Ser‑Lugar Saudável: Do Corpo ao Território”. The week featured workshops, composting sessions and talks across multiple São Paulo sites, including the participation of Dr. Paulo Saldiva, a leading physician‑researcher on health and the environment. Both initiatives aim to promote sustainable urban living, climate adaptation and healthier relationships between people, bodies and territories in Brazil’s largest city.
