Circuito Mais Mulher draws record 8,000 participants in São Paulo

The ninth stage of the 2026 Circuito Mais Mulher season took place in São Paulo, drawing a record 8,000 female participants. Organized by the State of São Paulo Sports Secretariat, the street running event marks a significant increase in attendance compared to previous editions.

Among the participants was Catarina Ribeiro, a 40-year-old runner with muscular dystrophy, who completed the 5km course guided by her friend Alcione Silva. Ribeiro described the event as one of the most inclusive running experiences she has participated in, highlighting its role in promoting the presence of people with disabilities in public spaces.

The circuit has mobilized approximately 26,000 athletes across eight stages so far this year. Future stages for the 2026 season are scheduled to take place in Ribeirão Preto and Hortolândia.
