São Paulo launches Provão Paulista Seriado with 15,819 university slots

The São Paulo state government released the edital for the Provão Paulista Seriado, a serial university entrance exam offering 15,819 places in public higher‑education institutions such as USP, Unesp, Unicamp, Univesp and the state FATECs. Seats are allocated primarily to students from the state public school system, technical schools, federal and municipal institutions, and adult‑education (EJA) candidates, with reserved quotas for Black, mixed‑race and Indigenous applicants. Registration is automatic for students in the state network, while others must apply online through the Fundação Vunesp portal. Exams are scheduled for November, with scoring based on cumulative performance over three years for regular students and a combination of this year’s test and essay for EJA participants.

Separately, the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC‑SP) published the 2027 vestibular edital and candidate manual. The exam will admit 2,450 students across 34 undergraduate programs at its Marquês de Paranaguá, Monte Alegre, Sorocaba and Ipiranga campuses. Candidates must pay a R$ 280 fee, sit for a 50‑question multiple‑choice test plus an essay on 17 October, and can choose São Paulo or Sorocaba as the test location. Results are slated for 10 November, with enrollment periods following shortly after.
